On Looking Forward and Finding Your Way

On the Passing Of the Year

Your days are done, old friend,
The dreams we shared,
Boldly dared
Have fled;
Emergent hopes
My feet now tread.

On Looking Forward

Quite elementary for the young;
Easier said
(Once age to life is wed)
Than done.

Isaiah 43:18-19

Do not remember the former things,
or consider the things of old.
I am about to do a new thing;
now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?
I will make a way in the wilderness
and rivers in the desert.

    • Thank you, Mom. Yes, blessings and joy and peace to you as well. This, I think, will be a good year to look to the One from whom all blessings flow.

  1. If this was NY or Philly you would have your own exhibition. Every time I see your work I am inspired to get off my butt and go out and take some photographs. Thanks for the great retrospect. I’ll be home soon and hopefully taking some new winter pictures…after the cabin warms up that is..

  2. I am continually impressed with this blog. Mike passed the baton to us… now it’s our turn to forge it. Someday we will die and pass the same baton onto someone else when we die. This is the great circle of life! Great blog dad!
