Ice Bound

I like exploring the slough and river this time of year, looking for things trapped in the ice. The surface glazes over, then frost forms on top, but there remains a hint of transparency to it and if you sweep away the crystals on top, you can see through the ice to the water below.

  1. I love to look underneath the clear waters. Of course I never had the ice and frost to deal with but I remember going to Gold Lake when we were in California and the water was so clear. It was beautiful.
