Everybody in our village tells me it has been a dry, hot summer on the Flats. But summer is coming to an end, and although it is still warm in the middle of the day it is quite pleasant. Most everybody wears a light jacket or sweatshirt now in the mornings and some keep them on all day. Many of the flowers that were blooming in June have already faded away but some, like these, still show and continue to colour the village.
Fantastic picture, Dave.
I did like the way this one turned out. I’m trying some new tricks (for me) in Lightroom to give the impression of shallow depth of field. My little point and shoot struggles with that. Does summer seem to be dying away quickly to you, or is it just me?
The picture is beautiful 🙂
The mosquitoes have quieted and there is a touch of yellow in the trees I hear the knocking of cooler weather and i am ready to open the door.
Exciting, isn’t it? Is it smoky up over your way?
It will always be Summer in my mind. A season of so many warm, happy colors and memories. Best wishes to you and your family.
Summers are brief here and quickly forgotten. Good thing we like cold and snow. 🙂
