25 degrees. Snow depth: 3.5 inches.
Look at my kids! They live with snow for 7 months out of the year, but let the summer come and go and they beg to go outside to clobber each other with snowballs. Snow, the universal tonic, sure to cure what ails you.
It occurs to me they are no different than the smiling adults I have been passing on the streets. I am used to thinking of winter as an aberration, like all good Texans who worship summertime. But here, winter is king! “Let it snow! let it snow! let it snow!”
(lyric by Sammy Cahn)
